A name that has made yachting history and left an indelible mark on modern and contemporary yacht building, Cantieri di Pisa—now owned by Enrico Gennasio—was founded shortly after the end of World War II, in Limite sull’Arno, 30 kilometres from Florence.

In its early years, the shipyard focused on both new builds and refits of civilian and military vessels. This dual approach has reappeared at various points throughout its history, proving to be a strategic choice with numerous benefits.

In 1956, the shipyard, having fully scaled its production, relocated to Darsena Pisana on the Canale dei Navicelli, second in size only to La Spezia. The company remains based there today, operating from a production area of 50,000 m².

In 2021, Cantieri di Pisa was acquired and relaunched by Enrico Gennasio. The current CEO, Marco Massabò, is a passionate sailor with many years of professional experience at some of the most prestigious brands in the yachting industry.

Alongside new yacht construction, Cantieri di Pisa continues to specialise in refits—a strategic decision that fosters direct communication between the Research and Development team and captains, while offering further opportunities for innovation and improvement.

The shipyard is committed to driving stylistic evolution in the world of motor yachts, developing a highly personal and recognisable design language. With bold, expressive lines, each yacht is endowed with a powerful identity that is unmistakably Cantieri di Pisa.
